Step Up Equipment Options
In Month 4 classes we will be introducing a Step Up movement that involves a:
- short step, or

- short kitchen-type stool, or
- sturdy wooden block/box, or
- slant board (or half-foam roller) with a book under the low end to flatten the angle.
Ideally, the height should be 8 to 10 inches high. Lower is fine, but not higher.

Racquetball
Starting in Month 5 of the Foundations classes, we use a ball to help break up adhesions on the underside of the foot. This helps re-establish a healthy flow of resources to that critical and foundational body part, which helps restore the connection between the brain and the foot. This improves balance, dexterity, proprioception, strength, and mobility—which strengthens the legs, frees the hips, eases the lower back and knees, and reduces fall risk.

Slant Board
The Slant Board greatly enhances 3D mobility work for the foot, ankle, and calf, which allows better access to and maintenance of the hips while easing stress on the knees and lower back.
Pull-up Bar
The pull-up bar is used in a variety of ways—initially to re-establish healthy mobility in the shoulder girdle and then to strengthen that region, which is all part of healing shoulder pain and injury as well as preventing future issues.

There are many massage guns out there. I have used this one with success. I especially like it to enhance the “Big 6 Lymphatic Reset” work. It is important to get the head circled/highlighted because it has give to it and is palatable when going over sensitive areas.

Standing Core Routine
It’s one sequence of 10 movements that addresses every single joint in the body and moves the fascia as well as clears the lymph.
Very powerful. Once you know how to do it, it’s something that you can do any place—you don’t need any equipment.
- In the morning to wake up the body
- Midday to rejuvenate, recharge, and reduce cortisol (de-stress)
- In the evening to undo the stiffness, tightness, and damage that the day has done
- Listen to your body
- Start with slower speed and small range to test what your body is “willing” to do
- Use “willingness” as your guide
- If you experience pain, either stop or make adjustments in speed, range and/or position
It’s more advanced, but I’ll be offering digressions/options for a more entry-level. It’s one of the staples that I teach every client and that I’ve been doing personally 5 or so days a week, for the last 15 years.
Once you understand it enough, this can be used as a prompting to the sequence of the movements. But eventually, you won’t need it at all. You will know the sequence. A very impactful and foundational tool that I’m so excited to share.
