In 2010, I was shocked to learn that I broke my spine. I had burning pain in my back and down my legs and was told I couldn't lift weights.
That day I vowed to learn everything I could about the spine and other injuries so that I could heal myself and help others do the same.

I've spent a lifetime purposefully searching the world for understanding and answers about the body. I've tried and tested countless programs, methods, philosophies and techniques on my own system as well as the precious bodies of thousands of clients as a Personal Trainer over 4 decades. All the best, most important and effective ideas I refined into a cutting-edge technology called

Core Tenets of Foundations that make it completely unique and unprecedented.
Within the first month your body will feel the difference
Much of the weight gain and discomfort people experience can stem from a sluggish lymphatic flow, liver overload, and systemic inflammation. Everything we do in Foundations supports the body’s natural systems of detoxification, circulation, and regulation. By restoring flow and efficiency, inflammation is reduced, immunity is boosted, and resilience returns.
The fascial system forms the body’s inner scaffolding and serves as an intricate communication network throughout the entire frame. Modern life often holds us in repetitive positions that create patterns of tension and dehydration, leaving the tissues more like dried leather than supple fascia — stiff, restricted, less resilient, and aged. Movement acts as a pump to deliver vital resources (oxygen, nutrients, heat, and fluids) to cells, tissues, and joints to restore elasticity, durability and flow.
Doing movements that are unfamiliar and require the brain and body to work together in new ways enhances body awareness, coordination, and control. Engaging areas of the brain that have been underused increases circulation and stimulation, nourishing them while also expanding neural connections from that command center to all the parts.
Moving in all 3 dimensions intentionally opens up spaces in the body that have been dormant, dark, compressed and undernourished. Addressing the end ranges of each of the 3 dimensions underpins all movement design, whether it's Balance, Agility, Strength or Flexibility work to heal injuries, renew joints, reduce inflammation and expand the brain.
Nothing says "old and frail" more than stooped posture. By hydrating tissues around the deep torso combined with core strengthening from the neck to the pelvis (not ab work!), the vertebral segments experience more freedom and height. That decompression allows the natural lubricant to wash the joint spaces with vital rebuilding materials that support and fortify an upright, mobile, stable, happy spine.
The nag of constant pain and injury is draining on energy, motivation as well as what we think is possible in our lives. But you can heal! I see it every day.
Specific Rehab sessions each week will focus on balancing, healing and fortifying your parts to make discomfort a distant memory. As your understanding grows with your experience of what we’re doing to effect this transformation, you will grow empowered and independent.
Along with hydrating the fascial system and restoring flow to the lymphatic system, a variety of techniques using the eyes, tongue and breath will activate the parasympathetic nervous system to calm the body and promote proper autonomic nervous system harmony.
When the forces of compression and torsions are balanced through dynamic mobility and 3-dimensional stability work, joints are able to settle into more happy alignment. When they move in harmony and are washed with life-bringing synovial fluid, friction, wear-and-tear and inflammation are reduced, while strength, stability, and function improve.
Intelligent movements introduced at a foundational level, and then progressed properly and systematically to give the body time and opportunity to adapt, are key to building fortified bones, muscles, and joints without getting hurt. Doing all that in 3 dimensions improves the results significantly and translates into even better success in real life.
Woven through every aspect of Foundations lesson design are direct and indirect techniques that will enhance nimbleness. The nervous system becomes so much better at coordinating with body parts by practicing these ideas that most clients gratefully report they were able to avert a mishap, and in cases where a fall did occur, healing and recovery were leagues faster and superior to past experiences.

We will take the mystery out of your body and create habits that will irrevocably change your trajectory and turn back time... all this with compassion and support.
